Senior Controller

The Ford Agency is looking for a Senior Controller for an Arlington-based IT Engineering firm. Our client operates in the fields of cybersecurity, information, technology, and defense. As part of the firm’s operations team, the Controller contributes to the firm’s success through ensuring 100% DCAA compliance and accurate tracking and recording of financial transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced controller with a background in government contracting to join a well-established and well-respected organization. Secret Clearance is required, Top Secret Clearance preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing and submitting annual ICE submissions to DCAA and maintaining a DCAA compliant accounting system
  • Record all business transactions on the general ledger
  • Verify accuracy of invoices, research and resolve all accounting problems
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciated schedules on the FAS Software system
  • Prepare monthly reporting package, such as comparative reports of operating results, financial position, and variance explanation
  • Work closely with executives to prepare monthly forecast updates
  • Prepare and review Business Licenses, personal property tax, Sales and Use Tax, Real Estate Tax
  • Assist with preparing annual corporate budgets

Qualifications include:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA preferred, PMP and MBA a plus
  • 5-7 years of prior supervisory experience with financial reporting and general ledger
  • Experience with Deltek or Ultipro systems
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Access, and Word
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work under pressure to meet required deadlines
