Job description

The Ford Agency is looking for an experienced Compensation Manager to join the Human Resources Department at a top DC law firm. This individual will play a critical role in developing compensation strategy and implementing initiatives and programs to support the long term goals. Responsibilities Include:
  • Deliver compensation guidance to hiring managers and firm leadership regarding professional staff salaries
  • Maintain compensation programs and systems
  • Analyze market trends and adjust pay structures as needed
  • Design and develop pay structures and job architecture in conjunction with the hiring team
  • Ensure firm compliance in regard to compensation programs, tracking all federal, state, and local laws
  • Oversee firm policies and procedures in relation to regulation and legal requirements
  • Assist in reviewing and updating professional staff job descriptions
  • Establish FLSA status, classification, job codes, and EEO codes
 
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in managing compensation in professional services field
  • Knowledge of local and federal laws and regulations in relation to compensation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and HRIS Systems
    • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills
