Job Description

The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a Foundation Fundraising Manager to join a Bethesda based non-profit that helps individuals and families navigate the complexities of advanced medical care. This role will build strategic fundraising partnerships with individual and corporate foundations, collaborate with leadership to develop stewardship plans, and help drive a strategic vision for foundation giving.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and draft grant proposals, project concepts, and reports
  • Proactively identify foundation prospects with the capacity for awards of $100k+
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with funding partner stakeholders
  • Develop and manage stewardship plans for stages of growth
  • Collaborate with marketing staff on content development for PR materials
  • Represent the non-profit at various high profile events
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in foundation or corporate fundraising
  • Stewardship and grant writing experience required
  • Direct experience with local DMV area foundational giving strongly preferred
  • Salesforce or Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
