The Ford Agency is seeking a Legal Administrative Secretary to join a boutique law firm focused on energy policy. Ideal candidates will have experience working as an administrative assistant in a legal or professional services environment and the ability to manage the workflow for busy attorneys. This is a temp-to-hire role.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare, proofread, and edit attorney-client documents
Work with both digital and hard-copy materials and ensure proper handling of each
Upload and manage documents in electronic filing systems for various courts
Assist with time entry, travel booking, calendars/scheduling, expense reports, and other administrative tasks
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of legal administrative experience strongly preferred
Experience with Bluebook and cite-checking a plus
Knowledge of e-filing systems a plus
Ability to work independently and problem-solve
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
