Job Description

The Ford Agency is currently recruiting for a Newsroom Manager to support the Washington, DC office of an international media organization. This role serves as the operational backbone of a small and dynamic newsroom, overseeing administrative operations, supporting journalists and leadership, and ensuring the DC bureau runs smoothly. Candidates who are highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast paced environment are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities Include:
  • Oversee day to day administrative operations of the DC bureau
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of staff
  • Manage timesheets and work with a third party payroll vendor 
  • Provide travel coordination and logistical support for journalists and leadership
  • Liaise with London headquarters on administrative processes and office needs
Qualifications Include:
  • 3+ years of administrative, office management, or operations experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate needs in a fast paced environment
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to coordinate with international teams
  • A strong interest in media and current events with enthusiasm for supporting a newsroom environment

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
