Job Description

The Ford Agency is looking for a smart and motivated Research Coordinator to join a prestigious international law firm. The ideal candidate will have advanced research and writing capabilities and a solid comprehension of the complexities of business relationships. Attention to detail, database management, and strong interpersonal skills are key to this important role. Responsibilities Include:
  • Research digital and print databases to determine and analyze client conflicts of interest
  • Maintain databases and collaborate with other departments for data cross-referencing
  • Create detailed reports of client/business relationships
  • Escalate conflicts and unresolved issues
  • Open new matters and manage the process 
  • Assist with other projects as needed
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's in Library Science or interest in pursuing that degree strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of research experience in a law library
  • Familiarity with legal databases (Westlaw, Lexis Advance, Law 360, or similar)
  • Advanced research and analytical skills
  • Professional writing and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize independently
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
