Job Description

The Ford Agency is seeking a proactive Business Development Specialist to support the Business Development and Marketing team of a top law firm. This role partners closely with the Litigation and Investigations groups to drive client development efforts, manage marketing initiatives, and increase practice visibility. The Specialist will contribute to pitches and proposals, support client events, and maintain business development resources. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to take on high-value projects that make a measurable impact. This is a direct-hire opportunity with excellent growth potential!

Responsibilities Include:
  • Draft and contribute to client proposals, presentations, and RFP responses
  • Track and analyze client development efforts using the firm’s CRM system
  • Manage marketing materials, client alerts, and practice group communications
  • Coordinate award and directory submissions, including Chambers
  • Support client events, from logistics to post-event reporting
  • Prepare reports to leverage relationship-building and marketing activities
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • 2+ years of marketing or business development experience in a professional services firm; law firm experience highly preferred
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM and marketing platforms (Salesforce, Pardot, LinkedIn) a plus
  • Professional, proactive, and collaborative team player

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
