Professional Development Manager

The Ford Agency is working with a prestigious international law firm in their search for a Professional Development Manager to support the junior associate career development within the firm. The Manager will identify professional development needs, implement programs and strategies to meet those needs, and provide coaching to associates. This is a unique opportunity for a learning & development professional to bring their skillset to an innovative Firm! This position has the ability to be based out of the DC or NYC office.

Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with associates to identify career development needs and opportunities
• Implement professional and career development programs 
• Collaborate with firm leadership on professional development strategy and long term firm planning
• Assist with onboarding new associates and advise them on Firm resources
• Track utilization and capacity in balance with available resources
• Stay abreast of professional development best practices 
• Ensure junior associates are provided with engaging and career enriching professional development opportunities
• Assist with other learning & development projects and initiatives

Qualifications Include: 

• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong professional development experience
  • Law firm experience strongly preferred
• Experience working in fast paced and global environment
• Professional communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, VA, or NYC area or have independent plans for relocation.
