Job Description

The Ford Agency is seeking a Senior Director of Trade Policy to join a well-established, technology-focused trade association. This role will lead the organization’s trade and international economic policy strategy, partnering closely with member companies and global stakeholders to advance market access and reduce barriers impacting the technology sector. Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and advance the organization’s trade policy agenda, addressing tariffs, regulatory barriers, digital trade, and supply chain resiliency
  • Lead advocacy efforts with U.S. and foreign government stakeholders, trade associations, and policy partners
  • Provide analysis and updates to member companies on key bilateral and multilateral trade developments
  • Draft and oversee policy materials including position papers, comment letters, and member communications
  • Represent the association in public forums, press engagements, and external events
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in trade policy roles within government, Congress, or trade associations
  • Demonstrated expertise in trade policy issues affecting the technology sector
  • Strong domestic and international trade policy network
  • International experience and cultural fluency

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
